You’ll spend a day discovering the Tuscan countryside on horseback, following quiet trails through vineyards and olive groves before continuing to one of the region’s historic hill towns. With private transport throughout the day, the experience combines time in the saddle with a visit to Vinci or San Miniato and a relaxed Tuscan lunch paired with local wine.

The Experience

Through Vineyards and Olive Groves

Your day begins with a private pick-up from your accommodation before you travel into the Tuscan countryside. After a short introduction and safety briefing, you set out on horseback for around one and a half hours, following scenic trails through vineyards and olive groves.

The horses are selected to suit different riding levels, making the experience accessible to beginners as well as more confident riders.

Vinci or San Miniato

Before or after lunch, you continue to either Vinci or San Miniato for a guided walk through the historic centre.

In Vinci, the landscape and village are closely connected to Leonardo da Vinci, who was born in the surrounding countryside. Alternatively, you can explore San Miniato, a medieval hill town known for its historic streets and views across the Tuscan landscape.

After the guided walk, you’ll also have some free time to wander through the village at your own pace.

Around the Tuscan Table

The experience continues with a traditional multi-course Tuscan lunch at an organic farm or boutique winery. Regional dishes are paired with local wines, offering a slower moment to sit down and enjoy the flavours of the surrounding countryside.

Beyond the Experience

The itinerary can be shaped around the rhythm of your day, with the village visit arranged before or after lunch. Experienced riders may also be able to include some trotting after a short assessment, while beginners can enjoy the route at a relaxed walking pace.
