Sardinia: A Private Coastal Hike with Lunch in Costa Smeralda

You'll follow the quieter side of Costa Smeralda, leaving its villas and beach clubs behind for a landscape of Mediterranean vegetation, granite paths and intensely blue water. Beginning around Grande Pevero or Romazzino, our private guide leads us along an easy coastal trail, pausing at secluded viewpoints and beaches before extending the experience with a relaxed lunch.

The Experience

Along the Wild Costa Smeralda

The walk follows the Pevero peninsula, an unexpectedly untouched part of the coastline close to Romazzino. We move through Mediterranean vegetation and along gentle coastal paths, with turquoise bays appearing between the landscape as we go. The standard route covers around nine kilometres and can be adapted to our preferred pace.

Quiet Beaches along the Way

There is no need to rush. The route allows time to pause at some of the coastline’s beaches, take in the sea views and experience a side of Costa Smeralda that feels far removed from its more polished resorts. The hike itself is considered easy, making the experience as much about the surroundings as the walk.

A Long Lunch after the Walk

After the hike, we extend the experience with lunch, allowing the morning to flow naturally into a slower afternoon. The provider offers a lunch extension as an optional addition to the private hike, with picnic arrangements and van support also available if we prefer to dine somewhere immersed in the landscape.

The departure time and route are flexible, so the experience can also be planned later in the day when the Costa Smeralda begins to soften into evening light.
