Saint-Tropez: A Sensory Blind Wine Tasting in the Vineyards
We spend a few hours at a wine estate in Gassin, where the vineyards of Provence meet the slower rhythm of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Rather than approaching wine through labels and familiar tasting notes, this private experience invites us to discover it through the senses, combining blind tasting with breathing, mindfulness and a more intuitive connection to each glass.
The Experience
Discovering the Estate
We begin with a tour of the estate, stepping into the world behind its Provençal wines before settling into the tasting. The vineyard was established in the nineteen-nineties and has grown into one of the larger wine estates in Gassin, surrounded by the landscapes of the Saint-Tropez peninsula.
Wine through the Senses
Guided by an experienced sophrologist, the blind tasting moves beyond simply recognising aromas. Breathing and mindfulness exercises encourage us to slow down and notice texture, flavour and sensation, allowing each wine to reveal itself without the expectations created by a label.
A Different Way to Taste Provence
The experience unfolds in a private format, with time to share impressions and enjoy appetizers alongside the tasting. It is less about identifying the “right” tasting notes and more about experiencing Provençal wine with curiosity and attention.
What Awaits
- A private blind wine-tasting experience
- A tour of the wine estate
- A guided sensory tasting workshop
- Appetizers during the experience
- An experience for up to six guests, with additional guests possible
Beyond the Experience
We can spend a little longer discovering the estate through its cellar and wines. Separate vineyard visits introduce the history of the property, winery and bottling process, followed by a tasting of several estate wines.
An Invitation
This is Saint-Tropez experienced through the senses. We leave the labels aside, slow down between each glass and allow the wines of Provence to unfold gradually. Less a traditional tasting, and more a quiet invitation to notice what changes when we simply take the time to taste.
