A Studio Surrounded by Nature

You are welcomed into a countryside studio, a quiet space shaped by natural materials and the landscape around it. With decades of experience in weaving, the artist brings traditional techniques together with a simple and sustainable approach to making.

Learning the Art of Twining

You begin with materials gathered and prepared by the artist, including wild olive branches and other local fibres. Step by step, you are introduced to twining, a traditional basketry technique used to transform natural materials into woven forms.

Creating Your Own Basket

As the weaving begins to take shape, you work slowly under the artist’s guidance, learning through the materials in your hands. By the end of the workshop, you leave with a deeper understanding of the craft and your own handwoven basket to take home.
