The Experience

From Forest to Table

Rather than beginning immediately with the hunt, the experience introduces us to truffles through food. We gather for a tasting and truffle brunch, discovering different preparations while learning how white and black truffles are found, preserved and used in traditional Istrian cooking.

Following the Family’s Truffle Dogs

We then head outdoors with experienced truffle hunters and their trained dogs. As we follow them through the countryside, we see how closely the hunt depends on the connection between dog, hunter and landscape. When a dog catches a scent, the search becomes wonderfully hands-on as attention turns to the earth beneath our feet.
