Istria: A Countryside Horseback Ride with Wine Tasting

In the quiet Istrian countryside, we set out on horseback for a slow journey through the landscape towards a local winery. Designed entirely at walking pace, the experience brings together riding, rural scenery and an unhurried tasting of homemade products before we return to the ranch by horse.

The Experience

Through the Istrian Countryside

We begin at the ranch and settle into the gentle rhythm of the horses. The ride follows approximately fifty minutes of countryside before reaching a local winery, allowing the landscape to unfold slowly around us rather than simply passing through it. The entire ride is at walking pace.

A Pause at the Winery

At the winery, we leave the horses for a while and spend approximately an hour tasting homemade products. It is a relaxed pause in the middle of the ride—a chance to experience another side of rural Istria through its local flavours before returning to the saddle.

The Ride Home

After the tasting, we ride for approximately another fifty minutes back towards the ranch. Altogether, the Hedonistic Tour lasts around three hours, combining two peaceful stretches on horseback with the winery experience in between.

Beyond the Experience

The experience is suitable for a slower style of riding rather than a fast-paced trail, as the tour is conducted entirely at a walk. Starting times are arranged by agreement, and guests are asked to share their riding experience and weight when booking so the horses can be appropriately matched.
