Douro Valley: A Vineyard Dinner with Douro Wine
We spend the evening surrounded by vineyards in the heart of the Douro, where dinner becomes an introduction to the region through both food and wine. Traditional dishes from Northern Portugal are paired with wines made by the surrounding estate, creating a warm, intimate evening rooted in the landscape and its long winemaking heritage.
The Experience
An Evening Among the Vineyards
As the day begins to soften, we settle in for a special dinner within a historic wine estate surrounded by Douro vineyards. The experience is deliberately intimate and available by advance reservation, giving the evening a quieter rhythm away from a conventional restaurant setting.
Traditional Flavours of Northern Portugal
Dinner brings traditional dishes from Northern Portugal to the table, served alongside a guided tasting of the estate’s own wines. Rather than separating dinner from the tasting, food and wine are experienced together, offering a relaxed way to discover the flavours and traditions of the region.
Wine, History & the Douro
Wine has been produced here for generations, with the house dating to the early nineteenth century. During the evening, we learn more about the estate’s history and the local winemaking process, while the restaurant carries the distinctive aroma of Port ageing in chestnut barrels.
