Chianti: A Wine Country Retreat with Endless Hilltop Views

In the hills of Chianti, we settle into a restored 16th-century farmhouse surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and the softly changing landscape of rural Tuscany. Original farmhouse character remains part of the experience, with old beams, terracotta floors and stone details meeting a quieter, more contemporary approach to country living. Outside, gardens invite us to spend much of the day beneath the Tuscan sun. There is little need to rush elsewhere—we can linger over breakfast, find a quiet place outdoors and let the countryside set the rhythm.

Among the Vines and Olives

The landscape is central to why we come here. Vineyards and olive groves surround the farmhouse, placing us within the agricultural scenery that has long defined Chianti. We can spend slow mornings looking across the hills, settle beside the pool as the afternoon warms, or head out into the countryside when we feel like exploring.

Wine is naturally part of life here, but it is ours to explore as deeply as we wish. Winery visits and tastings can be arranged, offering a closer introduction to the wines and olive oil produced nearby.

An Afternoon Left Open

Some of the loveliest hours here require very little planning. We can retreat to the garden, spend an afternoon beside the pool or simply return to our room or private patio for some quiet.

Further Into Chianti

When we want to see more of the region, a collection of optional experiences takes us beyond the farmhouse and deeper into Tuscan country life. We might ride on horseback through the countryside, join a truffle hunt or see the rolling landscape from above on a hot-air balloon flight.

Come for the vineyards, and linger for the quiet hours in between.
