Cape Town: An Afternoon of Wine & Blending

We spend an afternoon in the Cape Winelands discovering wine from the inside out. Rather than simply tasting what has already been bottled, we step into the winemaker’s world — experimenting, tasting and slowly creating a blend shaped around the flavours we enjoy most.

Finding Our Blend

Guided by the winemakers themselves, we explore how different wines come together, adjusting our blend until we find the balance that feels right to us. It is tactile and personal, with plenty of room for conversation, curiosity and tasting along the way.

From Barrel to Bottle

Once our blend is complete, we bottle and cork the wine ourselves. What we leave with is more than something chosen from a cellar shelf — it is a bottle we have had a hand in creating, and a small piece of the Winelands to take home with us.

An Afternoon Made Slowly

There is something wonderfully simple about spending a few hours focused on a single bottle of wine. Instead of moving quickly between estates and tasting rooms, we stay, experiment and begin to understand the craft behind blending through the people who make the wines themselves.

We come to taste the wines of the Cape, and linger for the pleasure of creating one entirely our own.
