Barcelona: A Gaudí Ceramic Tile Workshop

You'll step inside one of Barcelona’s most remarkable Modernist houses for a creative experience inspired by Gaudí’s colourful ceramic language. Guided by a master ceramicist, who worked on the restoration of Casa Vicens’ original ceramics, we discover the craftsmanship behind its iconic floral tiles before creating a piece of our own.

The Experience

Discovering Gaudí’s Ceramic World

The experience begins with the distinctive tiles of Casa Vicens, where nature, colour and architecture come together in one of Gaudí’s earliest works. We learn how the house’s famous carnation motif became part of its design and how traditional ceramic craftsmanship helped bring the façade to life.

Creating Your Own Tile

Under the guidance of the master ceramicist, we work with clay and traditional decorative techniques to recreate a tile inspired by Casa Vicens. Step by step, we discover the process behind the colours, patterns and handmade details that make the ceramics so recognisable.

A Piece Made by You

Once decorated, our ceramic creation is professionally fired so the design becomes permanent. The finished tile can later be collected, leaving us with a handcrafted piece inspired by one of Barcelona’s most iconic architectural works.

The experience is completed with time to discover Casa Vicens itself, allowing us to see the ceramics, floral motifs and architectural details that inspired the workshop in their original setting.
