Algarve: Create Your Own Wine in the Vineyards

In the countryside near Lagoa, you'll step into the vineyards and cellars of a working Algarve wine estate for a hands-on introduction to the art of blending. Rather than simply tasting finished wines, we learn how different grape varieties, aromas and structures come together — before creating a bottle that is entirely our own.

The Experience

From Vineyard to Cellar

We begin with a guided visit through the winery and barrel cellar, learning how the wines are produced and how different oak barrels influence the character and ageing of the wine. A walk through the surrounding vineyards introduces us to the grape varieties grown on the estate and the role of the Algarve’s climate and soil.

Create Your Own Blend

Back in the tasting room, we sample a selection of young single-varietal wines and begin experimenting. With professional tools and guidance, we adjust proportions and taste along the way until we create a blend that feels completely our own.

Bottle It & Take It Home

Once the blend is finished, we bottle, cork, seal and label our own wine to take home. Regional cheeses, cured meats and local snacks are served during the tasting, making the experience feel relaxed and social rather than technical or formal.
