Puglia: A Sunset Horseback Ride along the Wild Coast

We ride through the wild landscapes of the Salento coast, moving between sandy beaches, Mediterranean dunes, pine forest and the blue of the Ionian Sea. Designed for both beginners and experienced riders, the experience combines time on horseback with a slower moment in nature over breakfast and a drink.

The Experience

Between Sea and Nature

After a safety briefing and an introduction to our horses, we set out along one of the coastal trails. Depending on the chosen route, the landscape moves between golden beaches, Mediterranean vegetation, pine forest and the quiet basin of a coastal salt lake.

Along the Coast

The signature route follows the beach beside the Ionian Sea, offering a beautiful contrast between open water and the natural landscape of Salento. Rides range from shorter excursions to a longer coastal journey of around two and a half hours, while sunset rides can also be arranged during the summer months.

A Slow Pause

Every excursion includes breakfast and a drink, giving us time to pause before or after the ride and enjoy the surrounding nature. It turns the morning into something more complete than simply a horseback excursion—a few quiet hours spent outdoors at the pace of the landscape.

Beyond the Experience

We can choose between a beach ride, a route through the coastal nature reserve towards the salt lake or a sunset excursion during the warmer months, allowing the experience to feel different depending on the season and time of day.

An Invitation

We leave the stable behind and let the landscape slowly open towards the sea. Sand replaces the path, the Ionian stretches beside us and the morning moves at the rhythm of the horses. Afterwards, breakfast and a drink offer one final reason to stay outside a little longer—a simple, beautiful way to experience the wilder side of Puglia.
