Morocco: A Botanical Foot Bath & Massage Ritual

In the greenery of the Ourika Valley, we slow down among aromatic and medicinal plants for a simple wellness ritual inspired by the garden itself. Fragrant botanicals, warm water and traditional Moroccan oils come together in an experience designed less around doing and more around taking a quiet moment to rest.

The Experience

A Garden of Aromatic Plants

Before settling in for the ritual, we can wander through the botanical garden and discover the aromatic, medicinal and ornamental plants that grow here. The garden is home to dozens of species, offering a peaceful introduction to the herbs and natural ingredients traditionally used in Moroccan wellbeing practices.

A Botanical Foot Bath

We then settle in for a warm foot bath prepared with mineral bath salts scented with bitter orange essential oil. As our feet soak, we are served an herbal infusion made from eight organic plants grown in the garden — a small ritual that invites us to slow down and simply enjoy the surroundings.

An Argan & Verbena Massage

For a deeper moment of relaxation, the foot bath can be followed by a gentle foot massage. Argan oil is blended with lemon verbena essential oil, bringing together two ingredients closely connected to Morocco and its aromatic traditions.
