Marrakech Countryside: A Farmhouse Moroccan Cooking & Garden Lunch
Send us your preferred date and group size on WhatsApp for a personalised quote.
Just beyond Marrakech, we leave the energy of the city behind for a family farmhouse surrounded by olive trees, wildflowers and fragrant countryside. Here, the afternoon unfolds around the kitchen and garden — preparing traditional Moroccan dishes by hand, allowing the tagines to simmer slowly and eventually gathering around the family table for lunch.
The Experience
Cooking in the Garden
We begin among the farmhouse gardens, where ingredients come from the property itself or nearby farms. With guidance along the way, we prepare a tagine of our choice alongside zaalouk and traditional Moroccan bread, discovering the techniques and flavours behind dishes made in homes across the country.
While the Tagine Simmers
There is no need to rush the cooking. As the tagines slowly develop their flavour, we can wander through the garden, settle beneath the trees or enjoy time beside the farmhouse pool. It gives the experience the feeling of spending an afternoon in a Moroccan country home rather than simply attending a cooking class.
Lunch Around the Family Table
Once everything is ready, we gather around the table to share the dishes we have prepared. Surrounded by the garden and countryside, lunch becomes the final part of the experience — unhurried, generous and centred around the simple pleasure of eating together.

Beyond the Experience
The farmhouse sits along the Route d’Ourika, around half an hour from central Marrakech, making the journey itself a transition from city life into a quieter rural landscape. The experience is also offered later in the day, when cooking concludes with dinner rather than lunch.
An Invitation
We knead the bread, fill the tagine and allow lunch to take its time — an afternoon of olive trees, Moroccan flavours and the warmth of gathering around a family table.
