Mallorca: A Secluded Fortress Stay by the Mediterranean

Set along a protected stretch of Mallorca’s coast, we stay within a carefully restored former military fortress shaped into the landscape above the Bay of Palma. Original stonework, historic structures, and contemporary interiors come together without losing the character of the site, while the surrounding coastline creates a sense of privacy and stillness. From our terraces and pathways, the Mediterranean remains a constant presence, giving the stay an unhurried rhythm that feels far removed from the pace of everyday life.

Between Stone and Sea

We spend our days moving between the old fortress walls and the Mediterranean beyond them. The property follows the natural contours of the coast, with historic architectural elements preserved throughout and sea views opening from many of the spaces. A saltwater pool sits above the coastline, while a private rocky beach gives us direct access to the water.

A Quiet Mediterranean Landscape

We are surrounded by a protected coastal setting of pine forests, rocky shoreline, and marine habitats, with the property extending along a long stretch of coastline. Walking and cycling allow us to explore the landscape at a gentler pace, while the surrounding waters invite activities such as swimming and other water-based pursuits. The setting is also part of an ongoing effort to protect the local environment, with the property supporting ocean conservation and working toward reducing its environmental impact.

Slow Days, Restorative Rituals

We can let the pace of the stay unfold around the sea, the spa, and the quiet of the surroundings. The spa offers treatments including hammam rituals, massages, facials, and tailored wellbeing experiences, while private yoga and Ayurvedic programmes are also available as additional experiences. For something particularly atmospheric, couples can arrange a private spa experience centred around the hammam and indoor pool. These treatments and programmes are available separately and are not assumed to be included with the stay.
