We discover Mahé at the gentle rhythm of horseback, riding from lush tropical greenery towards the island’s wild western coastline. Over two unhurried hours, jungle trails open onto beautiful stretches of beach, where granite landscapes, mountain views and the Indian Ocean create a distinctly Seychellois setting.

The Experience

From Jungle to Shore

We begin among the tropical landscapes of Mahé, following quiet trails through dense greenery before making our way towards the coast. The experience is timed around the tides, allowing the shoreline to become a natural part of the journey.

Horseback Along the Beach

Emerging onto Barbarons Beach, we ride beside the Indian Ocean and continue in the direction of Grand Anse. Lagoons and distinctive granite formations appear along the way, while the mountains create a dramatic green backdrop behind the coastline.

A Slow Island Adventure

The longer ride gives us time to settle into the landscape rather than simply passing through it. When conditions allow, experienced riders may have opportunities for longer canters, while the small group size keeps the experience intimate and peaceful.
