The Experience

High in the Engadin landscape, a small swimming lake offers a beautiful place to spend an unhurried summer afternoon. We arrive with little more planned than time beside the water—swimming beneath the surrounding mountains, resting along the shore and taking in the peaceful Alpine scenery. The lake is specifically recommended locally for swimming and its remarkable views.

When we are ready to eat, the afternoon moves naturally from water to table. Barbecue facilities beside the lake make it possible to prepare a relaxed meal outdoors, allowing lunch to become part of the landscape rather than an interruption to it. There is no need to hurry away: we can return to the water, stretch out in the sunshine and simply enjoy a long summer day in the mountains.
