Bali: A Traditional Farm Stay Among Rice Fields
We stay in the small village in Bali, where antique wooden huts rest among plantations, farms and forest on the slopes of the river valley. Surrounded by birdsong, tropical greenery and the quiet rhythms of village life, this is a more intimate way to experience Bali beyond its busier centre.
The Experience
An Antique Wooden Joglo
Our stay is within one of four traditional wooden Joglo huts, carefully reconstructed using their original timber. Inside, warm wood and traditional details shape the atmosphere, while an elevated private verandah creates a peaceful place for breakfast and slow mornings overlooking the surrounding landscape.
Between Rice Fields & Rainforest
The property sits within a deeply green corner of Bali, surrounded by plantations, farmland and forest near the river valley. A swimming pool lies amid the rice fields and tropical vegetation, offering somewhere quiet to spend warm afternoons away from the movement of rural Bali.
A Balinese Village Rhythm
What makes the stay distinctive is its connection to a traditional Balinese family compound, only a short walk from the huts. Rather than feeling like a conventional resort, the setting brings us closer to everyday village life while still offering the privacy and comfort of our own space.

An Invitation
Here, Bali feels quieter and more personal. We wake within an old wooden house, linger over breakfast on the verandah and spend warm afternoons between the pool, rice fields and tropical greenery. It is a stay shaped less by schedules and more by the simple pleasure of living close to nature and village life.
