Bali: A Luxury Mountain Cabin Stay Above the Jungle

High in the cooler mountains of North Bali, we settle into a private cabin surrounded by jungle, distant volcanoes and views stretching towards the sea. Indonesian architectural influences meet warm contemporary interiors, creating a secluded hillside stay where much of the experience revolves around simply watching the landscape change.

The Experience

A Cabin Above the Valley

Each cabin faces north-west across the surrounding landscape, with views reaching over jungle towards the North Bali sea and distant volcanoes. Inside, handcrafted furniture and artwork bring warmth to the contemporary spaces, while private terraces create a quiet place for morning coffee or an afternoon spent watching the light move across the hills.

Pool Days & Evenings by the Fire

At the heart of the hillside is an infinity pool overlooking the valley, accompanied by a shared hot tub and communal fire pit. We can spend the afternoon swimming or soaking in the warm water before wrapping ourselves in a wool blanket and settling beside the fire as the sun disappears over North Bali.

Indonesian Dining in the Mountains

A short walk from the cabins, the restaurant celebrates Indonesian recipes passed through generations. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served against elevated views towards Lovina, while breakfast can also be delivered directly to our terrace when we would rather begin the morning slowly in our cabin.

Beyond the Experience

For days spent exploring North Bali, optional experiences can be arranged separately, including waterfall treks, massages and cooking classes. Longer two-, three- and four-night experiences are also available for guests wanting to combine time at the cabins with the natural and cultural landscapes around Munduk.

There is a different rhythm in Bali’s mountains. Mornings arrive through mist and jungle, afternoons drift between the terrace and infinity pool, and evenings gather naturally around the fire.
