Andalusia: A Slow Countryside Stay with Morning Horse Rides

Set in the rural mountains of  Andalusia, we find a peaceful countryside retreat surrounded by olive groves, pine forests, open skies, and mountain landscapes. We stay in traditional Spanish-style place centred around an old family farmhouse, with gardens and outdoor spaces that encourage us to slow down and spend more time outside. The atmosphere is distinctly rural and nature-focused, while the surrounding countryside gives us an easy base for walking, cycling, exploring nearby villages, or simply taking in the landscape at an unhurried pace.

A Life Around Horses

Horses are an important part of the rhythm here, not simply an activity offered to guests. We can spend time around the herd, watch them in their paddocks, or take a horse for a quiet walk. The riding is intentionally gentle and centred around enjoying the landscape and connection with the horse rather than speed or performance.

Among Olive Groves and Mountains

The landscape shapes much of the experience. We wake to views across olive groves and the surrounding mountains, with countryside trails leading into the hills and pine woodland. Walking, hiking, cycling, and nature watching are all possible from the area, giving us plenty of ways to experience Andalusia beyond its better-known cities. The setting also offers remarkably clear night skies, making quiet evenings outdoors and summer stargazing part of the slower rhythm of a stay here.

Gardens, Water and Outdoor Living

We can spend the warmer hours between the landscaped gardens and heated swimming pool, surrounded by open mountain views. The place is designed around outdoor living, with private courtyards and terraces providing spaces for al fresco meals, reading, and long afternoons in the sun.
