Algarve: A Slow Sailing Day through Ria Formosa

You'll leave Vilamoura behind for a full day on the water, sailing towards the protected landscapes of Ria Formosa. Between barrier islands, quiet channels and local fishing traditions, the day unfolds slowly — with an oyster tasting along the way and time on Culatra Island for a traditional Algarve lunch.

The Experience

Through the Ria Formosa

We travel aboard a comfortable sailing catamaran towards one of the Algarve’s most distinctive natural landscapes. Protected waters, shifting sandbanks and islands shaped by the tides create a peaceful setting for discovering a quieter side of the region from the sea.

Oysters beside the Water

During the journey, we visit a local oyster farm and learn more about how oysters are cultivated within the Ria Formosa. Fresh oysters are tasted in their natural surroundings, connecting the experience directly to the waters and traditions of the lagoon.

Lunch on Culatra Island

We then step ashore on Culatra Island, where there is time for a relaxed traditional lunch. Guests can choose from an à la carte menu or a set menu featuring Algarve flavours such as fish and seafood cataplana, seafood rice or monkfish pasta. Lunch is paid separately.
