Algarve: A Coastal Horseback Ride through the Nature Reserve

Near Albufeira, you'll leave the busier coastline behind and set out on horseback towards the Salgados Nature Reserve near Praia Grande Beach. Sandy tracks, open skies and the soft coastal landscape create a beautifully unhurried way to discover this quieter side of the Algarve. The experience is kept intimate, with only a small number of riders joining each trek.

The Experience

Towards the Coast

We begin at the farm before heading towards the nature reserve. Over approximately three hours, the route moves through the natural landscape near Praia Grande, where wide-open views, coastal light and quieter trails replace the Algarve’s more familiar resort scenery.

A Small & Personal Ride

Groups are limited to just a few riders, giving the experience a much more personal feel. Horses are thoughtfully matched to riders, while the route and pace are considered around riding ability and the conditions of the day.

The Algarve from the Saddle

There is something especially peaceful about discovering this landscape on horseback. Instead of moving quickly from one place to another, we follow sandy trails at the natural rhythm of the horses, with sea air, open surroundings and plenty of time to take in the scenery.
